Saul Alinsky methods

We are putting the Democrat Party on notice that the Saul Alinsky methods are on the way out.  We will work tirelessly to return America to greatness.  To be, as President Reagan so beautifully expressed it,  “that shining city on the hill” that we can be proud of once more.

Congressman John Fleming

Congressman John Fleming (Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt). Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and sign his petition (very simple - just first, last and email).

www.fleming.house.gov/

Please urge as many people as you can to do the same!

If Congress forces this on the American people, the Congressmen should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families.

Demonization of the Tea Party Movement

What is going on in the mainstream media and the Democrat Party right now is classic Saul Alinsky.  Demonize your opponents.  It started over the weekend with the claims by members of the Black Caucus that the “N” word was shouted at them at least 15 times as they moved past the Tea Party protesters in Washington D.C.  In today’s world of cell phone video cameras and the ever- present media, surely someone, somewhere recorded the audio of these supposed invectives.  Talk show host Hugh Hewitt offered $10,000 for a tape of the actual epithets being shouted.  To date no one has come forward with that audio.  Likely because it doesn’t exist.

Members of Congress sauntered past the Tea Party members taunting the protesters.  But, you see, Tea party members are not stupid.  They did not take the bait.  They did not provide the Democrats with the sound bites they were looking for.  But that did not stop the Democrats and the Mainstream Media.  They tried to gin up a story where there was no story.

My experience with Tea Party Members has been a very positive one.  Yes, people are frustrated at Congress’ unwillingness to listen to constituents, the back room deals and bribes that were made to pass the Healthcare debacle, but not once have I ever heard any racial comments made by Tea Party members.

And now the MSM along with Democrats are trying to stir up more unrest by claiming that Democrat members of Congress are being threatened by Tea Party members. Let me be very clear, I am wholly opposed to the use of violence in any form.  Those who do so should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
If these threats are happening, as purported by the Democrats, I heartily condemn those who are doing it.  I am convinced, however, that the Tea Party members are not responsible for these threats.

Democrats know something about threats.  Ask Bart Stupak about the week leading up to the Healthcare vote in the House.  His home was repeatedly called with threats against him and his family.  At all hours of the night.  Why?  Because he dared to stand up to the Democrats about the abortion language in the healthcare bill.  Here was a fellow Democrat being demonized by his own party.  (Sadly, Stupak caved—but that is another story). A bullet was fired through the window of Eric Cantor’s (Republican Whip) campaign office.  He has had threatening phone calls made to his home as well.   Eric Odom, organizer of the Chicago Tax Day Tea Party, has been screamed at on his cell phone.  And Kenneth Gladney’s beating at the hands of union thugs at Russ Carnahan’s townhall meeting.

Political debate is healthy.  I’d even go so far as to say it’s necessary in a free society.  What has come of debate in the past has resulted in better laws, sounder government and a better America.  Unfortunately, “Rules for Radicals” has been controlling the Democrat Party for far too long.  (Congress and the White House are filled with devotees.)  Alinsky tactics are dishonest, manipulative and counter-productive.  Tactics that have turned Democrats into the neighborhood bullies.  We all remember one of them from our childhood, pushing people around, threatening and trying to control the playground.  Well, the Tea Party movement has had enough of such tactics.  We are on the move against tyranny in any form.  We will beat the bullies by peaceful protest, honesty, perseverance in the truth and exercising our First Amendment Rights under the Constitution and we vote.  We have the Internet on our side.  We will post the truth day after day, week after week, as long as it takes to defend our liberties.  We will go to the ballot box in every election and vote for change we can live with.

Health Care Bill

I’d like to know when the mainstream media is going to wake up from its “Obama-Love” stupor and start telling Americans what’s really in these healthcare bills.  The amount of control the government will wield over our lives is staggering!  In time we will all be forced onto the government plan.  Even though Obama continues with his mantra ”If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it.”  That’s flatly untrue.  As soon as your employer changes providers, or deductibles, your plan will go away and you will be enrolled in the public option.

P.58 The government will have real time access to your finances and a National Healthcard will be issued.

P. 50 Healthcare will be provided for ALL non US Citizens, illegal or otherwise.

P.430 The government will decide what level of treatment you will be allowed at end of life.  Mandatory end of life counseling will begin at age 66.  Sounds like mandatory euthanasia for seniors.  Where is AARP on this?

It will be the end of private insurers, because private insurers must make a profit to survive.  And who can compete with a government entity that doesn’t need to be profitable?  What effect will the loss of private insurers have on the economy? With more businesses going under, there will be increased unemployment.  That’s a pretty grim picture.

Mr. Hoyer and Mr. Waxman where do you get off trying to hide negotiations in a closed door session?  So you can hammer the Blue Dogs until they capitulate?

NO!  Put the brakes on this debacle now.  Drop this ludicrous plan and start over.  Work with Republicans and GO SLOWLY.  This is too important to rush!

You might start with reforming tort law and placing a cap on pain and suffering awards.  Work with private insurers.  Get their input.  Work with hospitals and doctors to come up with a reasonable plan.  Doctors started resigning from the AMA in droves right after they endorsed one of these plans.

53% of Americans do not want any of these bills written into law.  That’s a majority you can’t ignore.  And also, don’t forget—YOU work for US

Firing of an Inspector General

President Obama is on a high speed course to dismantle this country.  He is guilty of trying to circumvent the law in the firing of an inspector general.  He co-sponsored a bill, (The Inspector General Reform Act) that is supposed to protect Inspectors General from abuse or manipulation by politicians. And he failed to follow the requirements of that law.

Inspector General Gerald Walpin was targeted for firing by the Obama White House ostensibly because Walpin investigated Obama’s crony, Kevin Johnson, in the misuse of Americorps funds at St. Hope. The Wall Street Journal stated in an editorial: "President Obama swept to office on the promise of a new kind of politics, but then how do you explain last week's dismissal of federal Inspector General Gerald Walpin for the crime of trying to protect taxpayer dollars? This is a case that smells of political favoritism and Chicago rules...”
Norman Eisen (White House Special Counsel to the President for Ethics and Government Reform)called Inspector General Gerald Walpin and made it very clear that Inspector General Walpin had one hour to resign or be fired.  Thankfully, Inspector General Walpin is a man of courage and told BO’s henchman he would not resign.

Inspector General Walpin is not going down without a fight!  He has been making some noise about Eisen’s illegal threats.  The Obama administration has attacked and maligned Walpin’s character, calling him senile and out of touch. Norman Eisen claims that Walpin “…was not working well with the board of the Corporation for National and Community Services, which oversees Americorps…”  Other comments by Eisen included “Mr.Walpin was confused, disoriented, unable to answer questions and exhibited other behavior that led the board of the Corporation for National and Community Services to question his capacity to serve.”
Gerald Walpin graduated cum laude from Yale University Law School in 1955.  While at Yale he was managing editor of the Yale Law Journal.  He has lead a distinguished career serving as U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General (rank of Lieutenant); Chief Of Prosecutors for the U. S. Attorney for the Southern district of New York; Senior partner at the law firm of Katten Muchin Roseneman LLP; President of the Federal Bar Council.
The White House completely ignored The Inspector General Reform Act (IGRA) by trying to strong arm Walpin into resigning.  IGRA requires the White House to give Congress 30 days notice, plus the cause for the firing of an inspector general. This did not happen.  Senator Claire McCaskill,(D)  spoke up and said “The White House failed to follow proper procedure…Loss of confidence is not a sufficient reason…”  She requested a written explanation for the firing.  Only then did the White House respond with the proper procedure.
Senator Charles Grassley has written a letter to the White House asking for details and supporting facts for Walpin’s dismissal.  According the Grassley, Norman Eisen has “…refused to answer several direct questions about the dismissal.”

Have we forgotten the brouhaha in Congress over George Bush’s firing of the U.S Attorneys General?  Where is the same concern over Obama’s blatant attempt to ignore the law he cosponsored and was put in place to protect Inspectors General?

Chicago thug politics transplanted to Washington D.C.  Threaten the opposition and make them go away.  We should be outraged at this egregious attempt to abrogate the law of the land for political ends.
And where is the outrage in the press?  Wait, what am I saying?  Outrage in the press?  We have BO/ABC now giving us the news from the Blue Room.  We have Evan Thomas of Newsweek saying “He’s (Obama) sort of God.”  We have Chris Matthews, for all intents and purposes, still getting chills up his leg when Obama speaks.  What a joke the media has become!!

So, it falls to Congress to show political courage and demand that the laws of the land are respected by everyone is Washington, from POTUS on down!  Congress, are you up to the challenge?
If the Obama administration can ignore IGRA, how long will it be before the Bill of Rights is trashed and our freedoms start to evaporate one by one………………..
